As the insatiable demand and uses for data bandwidth grows, the financial, energy and environmental considerations grow. Conference presentations in the event will provide useful information about the opportunity and importance of a more environmentally responsible approach to designing, renovating, and operating technology intensive buildings. Information technology use, of course, is supplying us with powerful tools to solve our environmental and energy challenges; provided we move quickly to utilize the best solutions.

The objectives of this conference are to:
1) demonstrate the business case for improving energy efficiency related to the extensive and growing use of technology and
2) showcase the growing supply of sophisticated tools to achieve better performance in the visual and environmental design of our buildings and to operate them with greater energy and cost efficiency.

Structure of the event:

Part one – the Business Case – Beginning 10:00am:

  • Technology’s role in helping build a Green Economy – A clear business case
  • New European and local legislation, requirements and market demand for greener buildings (including Energy Certificates, Construction Materials and Waste, etc)
  • Internationally recognized Green Building rating tools (LEED, BREEAM, DGNB, etc.)
  • Cloud Computing and saving money with Greener Data Centers

Part two –Implementation – Beginning 2:30pm:

  • Discuss green design principles and ecological materials; their benefits, availability and  cost considerations
  • Available solutions in the Central Eastern European region
  • Case studies from leading companies
