“Architect Radu Mihailescu does not have a studio. Still, he does have consistent architecture. He does not use the computer. At all. Still, his architecture is modern. His works can be best described as discrete. However, when seen up close, they are very provocative. He does not give interviews. He does not explain himself. He avoids visibility. Still, he is the author of the most “visible”, advertised and explained house in Romania in the past decade. He despises what is commercial. Nevertheless, he accepted an engagement from the most prolific mall-constructing business in Romania. He is obviously indifferent to success, and still, he is successful.” (Dana Vais)
