ANA MARIA ZAHARIADE – 2 volumes: «Simptome de tranziţie» – 2009 and 2010, volume I – 18.97 lei; volume II – 27 lei
On the Romanian market of architecture works, critical syntheses and essays which also examine the global state of architecture are quite scarce. There aren’t many specialists who consistently express their opinions in a series of articles which, while theoretically coherent, also pursue steadily the key topics confronting the profession of architect and the idea of architect in general, in our country and abroad. In this context, the publication of Ana-Maria Zahariade’s articles amounts to an important and informed contribution to the analysis of the local and international architectural phenomenon. The editorial project passes in review the theoretical concerns of this author, possessing a vast culture and a comprehensive vision of Romanian and international architecture.
The second volume pushes three times on the button stop and proposes to us on each occasion to focus on specific aspects of Romanian architecture: Bucharest, the Romanian school of architecture in European context, but also several critical texts concerning the details which make up the architectural image. This is a set of issues raised and then passionately studied by Ana-Maria Zahariade throughout her career and which have become genuine areas of research in the architectural field.
